Isla Tortura Calypso Sailing Tour

The yacht will be waiting with a very nice and friendly crew to take them to the beautiful island of Tortuga. Boating (1 ½ hours) is very interesting and gives them the chance to enjoy the sun, listen to music and go savoring delicious tropical cocktails. Once on the island, have time for swimming and walking on the white sand of this beach paradise.

A delicious lunch will be served outdoors under the palm trees and a makeshift bar on the island will always be open during your stay. After lunch have time to rest and relax or walk around the island. Will be returning to San Jose in the same way, first to Puntarenas around 5:00 pm and San Jose around 7:30 pm Includes a snack breakfast and lunch.

No matter if you're 2 or 92 no visit to Costa Rica is complete without a tour of the internationally famous Calypso Tortuga Island. The day begins at your hotel where you will be greeted by a bilingual guide and seated on a bus with air conditioning. The bus ride will take you to the port of Puntarenas, making a stop for a typical Costa Rican breakfast.

This is an excellent opportunity to appreciate the coffee plantations, sugar, volcanic mountains and the unique Brahman cattle that a changing panorama.

Upon arrival in Puntarenas you will board Calypso's super catamaran Manta Raya, designed from the suggestions of passengers since 1975.

Notable features of the Manta Raya has fresh water showers and full bar where you can enjoy, among other delicious Piña Coladas made with fresh pineapple. The spacious main salon combines with a cover that includes two indoor pools offering a level of cruising luxury and comfort 100% Calypso style.

Once underway the Manta Raya makes her way to the islands of the Gulf of Nicoya.

Her white clad crew pampers guests with fresh tropical fruits and drinks. In the morning the catamaran will pass by the islands of San Lucas, Gypsy, Sugar Loaf, Guayabo, Jesuit, Cedros and Negritos.

Particularly enchanting for it's beauty, Tortuga Island is known for its immaculate white sand and turquoise waters, a perfect destination for swimming, snorkeling and Calypso's famous lunch. For the safety and comfort of our passengers, Manta Raya has a bow ramp which allows passengers to disembark directly on the beach.

Sip cold wine in the shade of white umbrellas at tables covered with white tablecloths and be served the midday feast. Lunch, featured in
Gourmet Magazine, starts with a ceviche appetizer, followed by salads. The main dish is a delicious grilled chicken breast on the grill covered with a tropical sauce accompanied with julienned vegetables all cooked fresh on the grill by Calypso's expert crew.

The captain and his crew are the masters of this adventure. They are seasoned mariners who will convey their love of Costa Rica, in the view of landscapes, sunbathing, diving, exploring, swimming, eating, drinking, and relaxing.
